Stacking Door Security Screens

For big openings where the door panels slide and stack behind one another. The screens stack the same way.

What it is

Stacking doors, sometimes called stacker or bypass doors, are several sliding panels that park one behind the next. They open most of a wall without needing room to swing or fold.

A stacking security screen is a matching set of mesh panels on their own tracks. Slide them across and lock them, and the opening is secure with the glass wide open.

Good for

  • Wide living-room and patio openings.
  • Homes with multi-panel sliding glass walls.
  • Openings too wide for a standard two-panel slider.

How it is built

Panels to suit the opening.

  • 316 marine-grade stainless steel mesh, woven and powder coated. It will not rust or warp.
  • A patented clamp grips the mesh inside a heavy-duty aluminum frame (per Majestec).
  • Sliding panels and walk-through panels can be mixed to suit the size (per Majestec).
  • Walk-through panels have a heavy-duty three-point lock (per Majestec).
  • Natural light and air flow through every panel.

Common questions

Do you have photos of a stacking job?

Not on the site yet. For a similar look, see the four-panel sliders in our sliding door photos.

How is this different from a sliding screen?

A sliding screen covers a standard patio door. A stacking screen has more panels and more tracks, for a wider opening.

What colors can I have?

Majestec lists nine standard frame colors plus custom colors. Ask Roman which colors are available for your screens.
