Meet Roman Avalos
“My family’s safety is my number one priority, and I am sure it is yours as well.”
Hello! My name is Roman Avalos, proud founder of Premier SoCal Security Screens. My goal is to offer my neighbors doors and windows that keep their homes secure and are built to a high standard.
I grew up in the South Bay, and I have seen how much it has changed since I was a kid. That is what pushes me to share these products and help make our homes feel safe again.
When I am not installing security doors, I am with my family or working on my cars. You may also find me at a car show, talking to other enthusiasts.
How a job works
- MeasureRoman visits your home, looks at each door and window with you, and measures up. The quote is free.
- Custom buildYour screens are made to those exact measurements. Nothing is off the shelf.
- InstallRoman and his installer Jesse work as a team from first visit to finished install: Roman handles your quote and measure, and Jesse fits your screens with the same care.
- Clean-upWe tidy up before we leave. The only sign we were there is the new screens.

In April 2026 the captain of a Cerritos neighborhood watch group, who has our screens on her own home, invited us to her open house so her neighbors could see and handle them. Her verdict on living with them: “I feel safer. It’s one less thing to worry about.”
About the mesh we use
Stainless steel, and why the grade matters
Stainless steel is steel with at least 10.5% chromium, which helps it resist rust. Not all grades are equal. Lower grades, such as 304, can pick up a brown stain near the coast known as “tea staining”. We use 316 marine-grade stainless steel, which resists corrosion much better.
Strength
A thicker wire is not always a stronger one. What counts is how much the wire can take before it breaks. The woven 316 marine-grade mesh we use passes the knife-shear tests used to rate security doors and windows.
Who makes it
The mesh is made by Meshtec, which has specialized in high-tensile stainless steel security mesh since 2003 and supplies more than 25 countries (per Meshtec). Majestec is Meshtec’s own range of finished security screen doors and windows, and that is the range we install.
