Hinged Security Screen Doors
The classic front-door screen. Open your main door for air and light, and keep a locked steel-mesh door between you and the street.
- Front doors
- Back doors
- Side entries
What it is
A hinged security screen door, also called a swinging door, hangs in front of your existing front, back or side door. It has its own frame, its own hinges and its own lock.
You open the main door and leave the screen locked. Air comes in. Visitors can talk to you through it. Nobody can simply push it open.
Good for
- Front entries, with or without sidelights.
- Back and side doors.
- Doors with a pet flap built in. See pet doors.
- Homes where the front door is the only way to get a through-breeze.

How it is built
One door, three locking points.
- 316 marine-grade stainless steel mesh, woven and powder coated. It will not rust or warp.
- A patented clamp grips the mesh inside a heavy-duty aluminum frame (per Majestec).
- A three-point lock with a center deadbolt, worked by one handle (per Majestec).
- Heavy-duty hinges, made to resist being forced at the hinge side.
- Sidelights and panels above the door can be screened to match.

Common questions
Which way does it open?
Roman will check the space on your porch and suggest which side to hinge it.
Can I still see out?
Yes. From inside, the mesh looks much like an ordinary insect screen. You keep the view, the light and the breeze.
Can it match my front door?
The frame can be color-matched so the screen blends with the door and trim. Majestec lists nine standard frame colors plus custom colors. Ask Roman which colors are available for your screens.
How do I get a price?
Every opening is a different size, so we quote after measuring. The quote is free. Call or text (424) 352-1723, or send a request.
